Support Kendra's Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer

Welcome to this place where we can join together to help Kendra fight her battle with cancer.

Kendra Wilsey is 23 years old and has been an active, cheerful, and healthy person her entire life. Only a short time ago, Kendra discovered a lump in her breast, and just a few short weeks and many intense tests and biopsies later, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. It’s difficult to believe that this vibrant young woman is faced with this heavy diagnosis.

We are grateful that she was quickly taken in by City of Hope Cancer Care Los Angeles, where everyone has been incredibly kind and helpful. We have heard more than once how rare it is for one so young to have such an aggressive cancer diagnosis. COH is now taking steps forward in palliative care, which includes specific hormone treatment, Aliya PEF (energy technology), and they are looking into medical trial specialists to care for Kendra.

Kendra and her mom, Shannon, have taken a hopeful and positive attitude, immediately setting out an action plan that includes allopathic health care, nutrition, and Functional Medicine. Kendra is following all the recommendations toward strengthening and healing her body.

We are calling on friends, family, and everyone who has a heart of compassion to form a community of encouragement, love, and care around Kendra and her family. When she isn’t playing with her rescue kitty “Martini,” you can find Kendra at the library diligently working towards her online AA in Liberal Arts from the University of Hawaii ~ Maui College. It has been her dream to help people walk through life’s difficulties as a Clinician with a Ph.D. in Psychology. We now have the opportunity to help her walk through her own.

In order to follow through on all medical and naturopathic advice given to Kendra, there are great financial commitments. Insurance is covering much of her care, but there are still many expenses involved in order to keep up the regimen of appointments requiring travel, treatments, vital supplements, and diet changes.

To LIVE LIFE to the fullest with all the helps available is costly! The estimated ongoing costs while Kendra receives top care is going to be approximately $5,000 per month. This covers the non-insurance covered treatments, medications, supplements, travel expenses (she lives 101 miles from the cancer clinic), and other expenses involved in her care. At this time we are hoping to raise ten months of expenses.
