Hello Friends and Family,
We are reaching out on behalf of a beautiful soul and dear friend — Kendra Morton — who is currently in the fight of her life after being diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. As anyone who’s faced cancer—personally or through a loved one—knows, the emotional, physical, and financial toll is immense.
Kendra is a warm, compassionate, and resilient woman—a daughter, sister, friend, and a constant light even in her darkest days. The Morton family has touched so many lives across the Suwanee and North Gwinnett community. Whether coaching youth sports, working with special needs children at Level Creek Elementary, volunteering at local events, or serving on booster clubs, Kendra and her family have always shown up for others.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
️ Kendra’s Story
Kendra’s diagnosis came as a shock. What began as a small concern on a mammogram turned into a heartbreaking reality — Stage 4 breast cancer that has spread beyond the breast. While there is no cure, treatment can extend both time and quality of life, and Kendra faces each day with incredible strength and hope.
She has already undergone two surgeries and is now enduring aggressive treatments, including chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and constant monitoring. Ahead lie more surgeries and radiation. Kendra is also seeking early access to promising new drugs currently in clinical trials, expected for FDA approval in 2026. These treatments could be life-extending — even life-saving — but they come at a steep cost.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Even with insurance, the financial burden of this battle is overwhelming. Donations will help cover:
• Specialist appointments and follow-ups
• Costly medications
• Travel to and from treatment centers (including flights and lodging)
• Alternative and supportive therapies
• Everyday living expenses while she is unable to work
Every dollar raised will go directly toward Kendra’s care and comfort, allowing her to focus on what matters most — healing, hope, and time with her loved ones.
Should there be funds remaining after Kendra’s journey, they will be used to help others facing similar battles.
Every Dollar Makes a Difference
Whether you can give $5, $50, or more, every single donation helps. If you’re unable to contribute financially, please help by sharing this campaign to spread the word. Awareness and community support mean the world right now.
Let’s show Kendra that she’s not alone — that her community stands beside her in strength, love, and faith.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
With hope and gratitude,
Lance & Malisa Funderburk, Brian & Kelly Garland, Tony & Kim Glass , Jim & Amy Hasty, Ed & Dawn Higdon and Jeremiah & Courtney Lowell
