My name is Terri Edmundson. I am starting this for my daughter, Kendra, who is currently waiting to have surgery to remove a tumor on the underside of her brain.

Back story: She has had this for over 15 years and it has been monitored every few years for any growth. Her last scans (approx. 2 years ago) said it had not grown, so we were told she did not need to be seen again for 3-5 years. Well, for the last 2 weeks, she has not been feeling well but brushed it off as exhaustion and stress.

Saturday, she started having blackouts, unsteadiness on her feet, and blurry vision. I took her to the ED on Sunday, and they did a battery of neurological tests and a CT scan and found that the tumor had doubled in size, causing swelling and fluid on her brain. She was sent to Rochester to be evaluated by neurology specialists there. They all said the same thing: IT NEEDS TO COME OUT...

We are asking for help as Kendra will no longer be able to work for the next few months and is the sole provider of 2 teen boys. Please keep her in your prayers and help financially if you can. Thank you from Kendra, Brayden, and Leland.

UPDATE.....

SCARED SHITTLESS! I have Crainel brain surgery tomorrow morning at 8a.m. if everything goes as planned that is. So everyone doesn't know it is a dangerous surgery. It's located underneath the brain on the left side by the top of my spinel cord. They will be cutting decent portion of my skull and going in through the left top/side. High percent chances of having temporary (cross fingers that it doesnt-it could become permanent) blindness, verbal and motor function. Of course with all major surgeries there are the other high risks that we will just leave out. If all goes well, I will be release Monday or Tuesday.. after that I will have allot of appointments each week for several months. So my tumor is different than the fluid and the fluid could return, if that happens. They have to go back in and put in a stint that leads and drains into my stomach. Hopefully they wont have to do that. I know allot of my friends care. I do honestly need any help I can get. Whether it'd be a prayer, a few dollars on the go fund me thats set up for me and my kids or send a message to my mother, sister or Cieara Goulette due to after tonight I wont be on my phone for a while and they can give you some ideas on how to help.
