Support Kendell’s Healing Journey from Bell’s Palsy
Kendell is recovering from Bell’s Palsy, a condition that requires ongoing treatment, rest, and stress-free recovery. With medical costs and lost income piling up, she and Colin could use some support to help cover therapy, bills, and essentials. Every bit makes a difference. ❤️
Hi everyone,
After years of helping others write GoFundMe pages, I never thought I’d be creating one for myself.
I was recently diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, a condition that causes sudden facial paralysis, nerve pain, and extreme fatigue. It’s been physically and emotionally overwhelming. My doctors have emphasized that reducing stress is critical to healing and preventing long-term complications—yet, as many of you can relate, avoiding stress while facing bills and lost income is nearly impossible.
I’m currently undergoing acupuncture several times a week and will be adding massage therapy to help with nerve regeneration and pain management. These therapies are not covered by insurance but are making a noticeable difference in my recovery.
Even with treatment, I still experience days where I’m too dizzy, weak, or in pain to function, which means I’ve had to continue taking time off work. Colin has also had to miss work to help care for me and handle things at home.
Between the lost income and out-of-pocket medical costs, we’re falling a little short. It’s hard for me to ask for help—but if relieving some of this financial strain can give me the space I need to truly heal and Colin peace of mind, then I’m trying to be brave enough to do that.
My doctor has allowed me to go back to work but it’s only part time. Everyday I loose 2-3 hours on my check and this is financially straining.
If you’re in a place to help—whether by donating, sharing this page, or simply sending love and encouragement—it would mean the world to us. Every bit helps, and every act of kindness lifts some of the weight off our shoulders.
A meal train has also been created.
With deep gratitude,
Kendell
