Support Kendall's Recovery Journey

I talked to mom this morning and Kendall is having a tough time. She’s having bad migraines with pain so the drs are not allowing visitors today so Kendall can have a good rest day.

Last medical update on Kendall for the night from her parents…
She had spent her day being able to relax and sleep in better meds which was so needed. They removed the IV fluid to encourage her to drink and eat herself. She did okay with food and better with drinks.
As far as her head injury. The fracture is obviously still present, she has a bleed on her right side measuring a 6. And on the left side they just discovered a small bleed. In frontal right she also has a smaller 2-3 bleed.
Her eye bothered her a lot today so we tried some eye drops which didn’t seem to help.
She is now getting a dose of her stronger med to get her to sleep and rest for night. ❤️

Kendall is awake after 12 hours of sleeping…still waiting for more tests and the drs for what the next steps will be. Kendall is a little off and has been very repetitive. We are hoping this is normal considering what her injury’s are and with the medication she’s on. ❤️
Hi, my name is Joan and I have started a fundraiser to help my daughter and son-in-law with finances during this difficult time. Corey and Mariah Rounds family!

On September 21st, my daughter got a call that her 12-year-old daughter was in a golf cart accident and suffered head trauma with seizures and was being rushed to the hospital.

As any parent, this is one of the worst calls you can receive. Kendall’s injuries came back with a fractured skull and a small brain bleed, a 2mm bleed. We were all thinking this isn’t too bad and with rest, Kendall could come home in a few days. The hospital discharged her within 48 hours to go home, and we all felt extremely blessed.

But within hours of being home, Kendall’s condition turned for the worse, so her parents rushed her back to the hospital. Her scans showed that her brain bleed has tripled to 7mm with fluid build-up into her sinuses. Kendall has been re-admitted, and we are still waiting for the Neurology team to talk to Kendall’s parents to see what the next steps might be!

They have already told Kendall’s parents that with this injury, it will be at least a few months to recover, with Kendall not being able to return to school for a few months. And with this, Mariah and Corey have to make sure one of them is with her at all times, which makes it really financially hard for a family of 7, soon to be 8.

And this couldn’t have come at the worst time, with my daughter being pregnant with their sixth child and Corey not working for a few weeks while transitioning into a new job. So there’s no money coming in right now! So anything would help my family during this horrible time! We will continue to update on here to let you know what the next steps are with my beautiful granddaughter! ❤️
