Help Ken Stern Fight Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer

For more than 30 years, Ken Stern has been a familiar face on baseball fields across Northern Nevada. As a dedicated umpire for Little League, Babe Ruth, and high school baseball, Ken has devoted countless hours to the game he loves and to the young athletes and families in our community. He has always been someone who shows up for others with integrity, fairness, and a genuine love for the sport.

Long before serving his community on the baseball field, Ken proudly served our country. As a United States Navy veteran, he dedicated more than 22 years of military service to protecting our nation. Throughout his life, Ken has answered the call to serve, whether in uniform, on the baseball diamond, or as the cornerstone of his family.

Now, Ken is facing the toughest challenge of his life.

Ken has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which has metastasized to his liver. While this diagnosis is heartbreaking, anyone who knows Ken knows he is a fighter. He is determined to pursue every available treatment and every opportunity to extend his life so he can spend as much precious time as possible with the people he loves.

Ken is much more than an umpire. He is a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather to 10 amazing grandchildren. His greatest joy has always been his family, and his motivation to keep fighting comes from wanting more birthdays, holidays, ball games, and cherished memories with them.

As Ken and his family navigate this difficult journey, the financial burden of cancer treatment continues to grow. Donations from this fundraiser will help offset the costs of medical care, travel for specialized treatments, medications, and other expenses that come with this fight.
