My name is Ken Lee. I am a deacon at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Bixby, OK. In March 2024, I had the opportunity to be part of a 5-man mission team to Uganda. The purpose of the trip was to help two locations with the implementation of drip irrigation and rainwater collection and storage. However, while there, God had a different plan and purpose for me. What God placed on my heart was to purchase a tractor and attachments for each of the two locations we visited.
One of the places we visited was Gateway Ranch and Boys Home. This is a 300-acre ranch with a church, boys' dorm, and cafeteria. Boys from a nearby school and orphanage stay and work on the ranch while out of school.
The second place we visited was City on the Hill. This is a 22-acre property that has a church and pastor's home. The vision for this location is to be a place of spiritual growth for the surrounding communities and provide homes for the elderly and orphans.
The problem is that both locations are working the land and preparing crops with no power equipment. They currently use hoes to prepare the land, and this only allows a few acres to be utilized due to the amount of labor involved. Providing a tractor and the attachments would allow the expansion of crops to the point of providing food and to sell to help with funding future projects that are planned.
I have a Facebook Page (UTEMP - Uganda Tractor & Equipment Mission Project) that gives more details and a history of how this project came to be. Please visit this FB Page and share it with all your friends.
I have made every effort to make sure any funds received go directly to a Crossroads Fellowship Church account that is designated for the Uganda Tractor Fund. All donations will go to that account.
