For anyone who knows Ken and Judith Kirkland, you are familiar with their warm and generous spirits, unwavering sense of loyalty, hard work ethic and love for friends and family. They have opened their homes and hearts to many. Some of my favorite memories include gatherings at The Woolly Egg Ranch. Judith happily hosting through unpredictable weather and Ken manning the grill. Simply said Ken or Judith have gone above and beyond to show up for us. Now it is our turn to show up and support them.

On February 4th, after 8 months of doctor appointments, labs, and painful tests, Ken and Judith Kirkland received devastating news. Ken was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's disease. Whether you are a neighbor, longtime friend, co-worker, or client, the Kirkland’s have surely touched your heart in one way or another. They face so many uncertainties as the future unfolds. Please help them navigate this difficult and unpredictable time.

Hello, we are Judith & Ken Kirkland, we met on February 21st, 2009 and we decided to start walking life together, even if we had many differences in our lives. Ken is a stagehand and farmer, Judith a teacher and ‘city girl’. We have walked hand to hand for 17 years, learning from each other, sharing great moments in life, playing, working and developing the farm. Now, Ken has been diagnosed with a degenerative illness (ALS) which has prevented him from working, farming, playing. We are living very frightening moments, personally, socially, emotionally, financially…. Now that we are speaking about this, we appreciate all your support, love and understanding.
