We are a group of coworkers who are trying to help our friend Melissa's husband, Ken Gendreau. Ken has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is a former police office who works for IBM, but is currently on leave because of his condition. In addition to this terrible news, Melissa has recently lost her job, so the couple has minimal income while Ken fights his cancer. He is currently in a Boston Hospital receiving chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant is being looked at. Given these tough circumstances, Genevieve, Andrea and myself want to ease some of the monetary burden and be a support to our dear friend and her husband. It will be a long road, and one that we are taking with them.
