This concept has been around since the 70’s providing the finest quality of food available. There’s been a lot of up’s and downs throughout the years, but none as bad as 2025, this includes the Pandemic. With tornadoes and construction on our streets that severely affect our ability to control and maintain our profits through these tough times. We have managed to survive over the years because we’ve done a good job managing the up’s and downs. But 2025 has been all downs and no up’s. Although the tornado and most of the construction has subsided, they left a lingering affect that is damaging our ability to provide that same quality that Yasin’s has been known for. So, would you think about supporting Yasin’s with any donation you choose, that would be greatly appreciated, and would bring back the stability to its employees and customers. Thank you, Ken Coggins
Hello everyone,
My name is Ken Coggins, and I’m the President of Yasin’s, a local restaurant that has proudly served our communities for years. I never imagined I’d have to write something like this, but the last two years have brought challenges and now, I’m asking for your help to get back on our feet.
Our Story
Our two Yasin’s locations — one in College Park and one in Griffin, Georgia — have both faced major setbacks that were completely out of our control.
College Park:
For nearly two years, our store has been surrounded by ongoing construction that blocked our entrance and confused customers about whether we were open. Despite reaching out to officials for help, we’ve received no relief. The result has been a dramatic loss in business and mounting financial strain.
Griffin:
We proudly opened our Griffin location in December 2022 — only for a tornado to tear through the area just one month later, in January 2023. The storm caused massive damage to the entire shopping center. While we reopened after five months, many neighboring businesses remained closed for 9 to 13 months. The area became a construction zone, and customers couldn’t easily reach us.
Even though we had all our insurance in place, the support we expected never came. It took over six months to receive only about 20% of what our accountant estimated we were owed. That left us struggling to rebuild and pay our obligations while trying to keep our staff employed and our doors open.
Why We Need Your Help
We’ve done everything we can — cutting costs, working longer hours, and doing whatever it takes to serve our loyal customers. But the debt created by these disasters has made it nearly impossible to operate properly.
We’re raising funds to stabilize our business, so Yasin’s can continue being a part of the communities we love.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to recovery. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this campaign with others — your support means more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us keep Yasin’s alive.
