Support Kelvin Gonzalez's Soccer Dream

My name is Kelvin Gonzalez. I am from Dallas, Texas. For the last few years, I have been dedicated to become the best player possible. My hard work and passion have led me to go to many different team trials and tryouts, one of them the USYS ODP Program, which has opened many doors for me. I started at the State level, worked my way up to the Intra-regional games in Atlanta, GA, and the Summer ID camp in North Carolina last summer. With all my hard work and dedication, I was selected to be part of the Southern Region team. After 3 hard-fought games playing against very talented players from across the US at the regional event, I was selected to be part of the 2009 Boys ODP National Team.

Being part of the National team is giving me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity this April: go to Manchester, England, to display my talent at the international level and train at the home of Manchester City F.C. by professional coaches. This is an extraordinary learning opportunity for a soccer player and the trip of a lifetime.

While I'm incredibly excited about this opportunity, the cost of the trip, which covers flights, accommodation, training fees, and tournament expenses, is beyond what we can manage alone. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community to help make my dream a reality.
