I am raising money for Kelsey Jackson, who has been fighting for a diagnosis for over seven years. Raising funds to pay her monthly expenses and medical bills. Kelsey is a Registered Nurse but with her medical issues is unable to work.
Over seven years ago Kelsey noticed muscle weakness and off balance, etc, she had some testing done but went undiagnosed for 4 1/2 years. She did finally get an unofficial diagnosis of Lyme Disease and treated for Lyme Disease. Since that diagnosis and treatment, symptoms have gotten worse. Kelsey whole right side is numb and partial left side is numb. She is wheel chair bound. Kelsey is 26 years old and is currently living in a nursing home after having a Diabetic Ketoacidosis, stroke like episode.
Kelsey has been denied from hospitals, including Mayo clinic, Cedar Rapids hospitals and Iowa City Clinics. Her insurance company is also dening additional needed tests and treatments.
Her immune system is not able to fight off any respiratory illnesses and the slighest cold. She has been hospitalized several times for Diabetic Ketoacidosis, stroke like episodes and has went unresponsive.
Most recently in July her voice finally got heard and she did get into University of Iowa Hospital in Immuniology Dept. First doctor that actually listened to what Kelsey has been experiencing. She is in the process of having a Whole Genome Sequencing Testing done which can confirm or deny a Mitchrochondrial Disease which Kelsey has been fighting for this test for over seven years. This test takes two to three months to come back. Kelsey is fighting for her life, please share and let's get money raised for medical bills and maybe raise enough to pay for an initial consultation at Mayo Clinic.
If everyone can come together to raise money for this amazing lady who wants to enjoy life, have a career, and a family of her own. Our family would so much appreciate it!
