FOR ANYBODY NEW HERE
Hi, my name is Nora Kelly. I am fundraising for my friend Kelly Sievert. She lives near lowell, MA. She is currently in the hospital ,dealing with a skin infection from in-admittance heparin injections. She was septic , but that had been treated and kept at bsy for the time being. She has severe Guillian Barre Syndrome and has very recently been diagnosed with Adult Failure To Thrive, due to having to rely heavily on tube feeds, secondary to gastroparesis. The only dr that could fix a certain part of the stomach really didn't make it much better. Because of mobility issues, even with a carer, kelly will need to move into a more accessible apartment. It will have to be on the ground floor. She went through severe trauma in December, rrlated to family.l. It is in everyone's best interest that she move as soon as possible. The money raised will be for the moving trucks , crew and boxes etc. Anything left over would go towards rent and or just getting her set up in general. Thank you so very much for your time! I've known Kelly since 2002 and she is one of the most loving, amazing people I've ever known. Before being dealt these blows, she was active in Middlesex community College theatre programs. She has a son who will be 6 and she is a great mom, who has met challenges head on. Sometimes life feels like one thing after the other but this would greatly help her in the present and for the future..

want to thank you giys personally for being so amazing and helping kelly get into her new apartment, which now has elevator access. We know that moving into a new place can sometimes be more stressful than the reason youre lrwaving the old place.
Continued donations are appreciated, mostly for food in a pinch[delivery fees in partilar] and bills, but for adaptive shipment such as a rotsting transfer chair, to get her from the wheelchair into and out of the shower. As well as som e thing to make it easier for her to get in and out of the kitchen. I spoke with her earlier today and she is seeking out a chair for the living room so she doesn't have to always be in the wheel chair or bed. I'm guessing a recliner would be best. Adaptive bedding and clothing is needed especially as we reach fall and winter. In other words, clothes that are made to not get in the way of catheters made to not get in the way of assorted tubing and IV'S. Lastly, shoes that will allow her to wear her KAFO braces, which she has had for a while. . These braces allow her to be more stable when standing upright and go all the way from knee to ankle. She will be getting a prescription for these in the coming weeks. Thank you all so much!

Hi guys. Checking in. Kelly has most if not all of her adaptive furniture. Adaptive clothing and bedding is coming along nicely. Due to the unpredictable and serious nature of Kelly's illness, Lowen was staying with his Aunt in North Carolina for an extended amount of time. However, he will be returning to Massachusetts on November 21st. This is everything that Kelly has been hoping and praying for and making progress because of. As a birthparent myself, i 150% understand that seeing your child is what your whole world revolves around.
A portion of the money that was raised a few months ago was used in ways kelly was not on board with , but she is now being taken care of by a trustworthy individual. Continued donations are very much appreciated. Much of them will go towards setting lowen up fpr the incoming winter and readjudting him to home. and of course food and bills. It will also help her get clothing that actually fits her. At the moment, the only clothing she has right now is nightgowns. It will also be used to get things she need for her wheelchair to make it functional and adaptive items to help her aide in caring for Lowen.
In addition, it will be utilized to finish setting up the house to make it work for a power chair and of course the little guy.
Thank you all so much.
