Support Kelly's Fight Against Brain Tumor

Hello readers,

I’m writing on behalf of my family. My partner, Kelly, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor and although they are normally benign there is still a five percent chance that it is not. There are risks involved in having this diagnosis. The course of action taken by her doctor is to start radiation treatment to shrink the tumor, so that it may be removed without cranial surgery (which has a lot of risk). Unfortunately, the cost of this treatment without insurance is VERY expensive; with this course of treatment, we will also need to take some time off for recovery, and this will greatly impact on our finances.

A little more about Kelly….

She’s been through a lot. She grew up in North Linden with very little, raising her siblings, and taking care of herself from an early age. She’s a very compassionate human being who guided her parents through cancer and heart disease until they passed. Given everything that she has been through, she has still managed to go through life with a positive attitude, a bright smile, and a reassuring countenance.

She is dedicated her life to helping animals, and humans a like - both through her job as the manager at The City Dog Daycare, and her adoption and volunteer work at Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue. With no immediate family left, she has found the love and compassion she needs in the dogs she cares for. She has also undertook being a great mother figure to my 8-year-old son, which is a lot of responsibility. Simply put, my partner is a kind, smart and generous person who loves to love and I want to help her get through this trauma, the best that I can! She deserves the world, and I want nothing to hold her back. I am, on behalf of my family, reaching out for any help you can give.
