Mom has been placed on hospice care and has no life insurance. We are trying to raise the money for her funeral. All donations are appreciated! Once the time comes I’ll add the service information.
UPDATE 12/28/2025
Today marks 1 month mom has been hospitalized. In those days she has had 5 surgeries (vascular surgery 2 times, a surgery to install a port, a kidney drain, and a surgery to biopsies tumors). She was transferred to Barnes in St. Louis at 2am on Christmas Day. She will likely be having a 6th surgery in the next few days on her good kidney to alleviate some of the work that her good kidney is doing. They are hoping to return the kidneys to normal function.
Her bills are all due again so any donations can help. She is in hopes going to get to get treatments started and be on at home care while treatments continue. Some large costs associated with setting her house up for her care are expected.
Update as of 11/25/2025
Yesterday we spent over 12 hours at the hospital 11/24. The new tumor is spreading quickly. Its now affects her surgical site, the kidney, and the flow of urine. If her kidney levels fall she will have to be inpatient until at which time we can get the growth under control. She is in massive amounts of pain.
Update as of 11/4/2025:
Yesterday was the 6 month follow up for my moms cancer surgery. The day I thought and had convinced my self we would finally here “your in remission”. Instead it was the opposite and I’m not really sure how to feel.
In August when we went for a follow up visit for mom to the oncologist she had a lymphnode that was enlarged and yesterday that lymphode has doubled in size the swelling and in flamation has moved up her Iliac Chain and has moved into two other lymphodes. She also has a new tumor/mass that wasnt there in August and it has surrounded the Iliac artery. Her doctor is quite certain it is a Lymphoma or a form of Metastatic cancer from her Cervical cancer. We will have more answers in the next few weeks.
She has some follow up visits over the next few weeks to determined the course of action for treatment. As explained to us yesterday this will likely involve 6 weeks of daily chemo and radiation. She likely wont be able to get herself to and from these appointments. I will also end up being off work during her treatments to take her and help with her day to day.
Original post:
Hello, my name is Ashley Wombacher, and I am the daughter of Kelly Hostmeyer. Most people know her as “Momma Kelly,” and as a kid, most of my friends used her open-door policy to find a safe haven along the way. I am asking for help for my momma. My mom is struggling with a few health conditions that render her unable to work. On March 28th, she had a radical hysterectomy with removal of the lower abdomen lymphatic system due to cervical cancer.
Please pray for our momma, pray for our family, and pray for every doctor nurse and medical professional that helps us through this process.
While my husband and I will do everything we can to support her, we are limited on how much we can do.
If you can give $1, every dollar helps. If you can’t give, please share. We appreciate every one of you. God bless!
