Help Kelly Fight AML Leukemia

Introduction

Hi, my name is Nate, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible dad, Kelly. Recently, our family’s world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with AML leukemia while also battling Parkinson’s. This has been an incredibly tough road for us all, but my dad is facing this fight with strength and determination.

The Story

In order to get the specialized care he needs, my dad has been admitted to the University of Kentucky Hospital, where they can provide advanced treatment tailored to his cancer. However, this has required significant sacrifices from our family. My stepmom has had to take a leave of absence from work, which means they’ve lost an important source of income during this time.

Right now, their expenses are adding up quickly. Between the cost of eating out daily—something necessary because my dad needs to maintain his calorie intake with foods he finds appetizing during the chemo —and their ongoing bills at home, the financial burden is very present in a long stay away. Doctors have told us this journey could take a long time, and we want to do everything we can to ease the stress on them so they can focus on his recovery.
