Support Kellyn After Eaton Wildfire
Donation protected
My name is Kellyn Koepplinger, and I have been forced to leave my home in Altadena, California, due to the devastating Eaton wildfire that has impacted my community.
Responding to emergency orders indicating an immediate threat to life, I quickly gathered my foster son, my cats, and whatever belongings I could manage in the limited time available.
Fortunately, my home remains standing, but the property has suffered extensive damage from soot, ash, and smoke. Due to the lack of infrastructure and utilities, as well as widespread destruction in the area, my home will be uninhabitable for an extended period.
This emergency evacuation has already led to a significant financial burden resulting from accumulating expenses.
As of June 2025, I am still displaced and have no clear estimate of when I will be able to return home. Initial tests for soot, ash, and toxins have confirmed that my home remains uninhabitable due to dangerous levels of contaminants, heavy metals, and other unsafe toxins. The Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) who performed the tests concluded that all soft and porous goods, appliances, and the HVAC system will be deemed a total loss and will require replacement. At this time, I do not have an anticipated timeframe for returning to Altadena.
I am humbly seeking your financial assistance during this wildfire emergency. The funds collected will help cover the mounting costs associated with my displacement.
Thank you sincerely for considering supporting me during this period of grief, stress, and uncertainty.
