Kelly and Tammy—beloved local faces from the Irish Channel—are this close to making their longtime dream a reality: opening Disco Snowballs, a funky, disco-themed snowball stand right in the heart of the Irish Channel, under the mulberry tree in the backyard of Disco Warehouse!

You probably know Kelly as the “Strawberry Guy.”

For the past five seasons, he’s brought fresh-picked, sweet Louisiana strawberries straight from the farm to the community through Disco Warehouse. These aren’t just any berries—they're back-to-back award-winners, served in some of New Orleans' most renowned kitchens, including the legendary Commander’s Palace.

Alongside the strawberries, Kelly and Tammy’s pickles and jams have gained a loyal following. Their strawberry pepper jelly even helped a hot wings dish win a prestigious state award! And fans of the former Soup Garden in the Irish Channel may remember their pickles featured in the much-loved Pickle Soup.

Disco Snowballs is not just a stand—it’s a revival.

During the early days of COVID, Austin—owner of Disco Warehouse—transformed the backyard into a vibrant open-air market, giving local artists, including Kelly and Tammy, a place to create, sell, and connect. It was here that their brands “Ol’ So and So” and “The Pickle Kid” really took off.

Now, Austin is generously offering the same space once again to house Disco Snowballs. This won’t be your average stand—expect award-winning strawberry snowballs, spicy-sweet creations made with their famous pepper jelly, and even pickle brine “Swamp Juice” snowballs for the bold and adventurous!

But here’s the thing—we need your help to make it happen.

After COVID, this magical backyard space hasn’t been used to its full potential. We want to bring it back to life as a cool, refreshing oasis for the neighborhood, and we’re so close to the finish line. With your support, we can finalize our setup and start serving snowballs this summer.
