I am doing this go fund me for my nana (Kelly Perry). 3 months ago her mother Donna Dickerson suffered from a stroke after an unfortunate event she lost function of her right side (mostly her arm & hand). Donna then went into a rehab facility where she worked tremendously hard to regain her strength. She was able to gain some function back in her arm and hand but was still unable to care for herself (eating, bathroom, changing clothes etc). Nana (kelly) welcomed her into her home and assisted her with everything she needed while working a full time schedule, with little help. Nana (kelly) despite having limited resources worked out every bump in the road gracefully with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Her mother’s condition unfortunately declined rapidly (She could no longer get out of bed, and became she became lethargic) home health suggested a nursing home nana (Kelly) declined and we opted for hospice. On july 6th Kelly’s mother peacefully passed at home in bed. Kelly made it all possible. However she had to spend ALL of her savings on supplies, food, medication, hospital bed, shower chair, wheelchair etc. We are still looking at costs for a funeral, transportation to the cemetery in Cleveland tx (grandmas wishes to be with her mother) and burial costs, also costs to travel to east Texas to gather all of Donna’s belongings from her home.
