Support Kelly's Fight Against Adenocarcinoma

On May 20, 2021, my beautiful childhood best friend, Kelly Gowdy, received the most heart wrenching news.  After seeing her doctor for a sinus infection and shortness of breath, an x-ray revealed a large mass on her right lung.  At just 34 years old, Kelly who has never been a smoker was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Kelly is currently being treated at MD Anderson in Houston.  Her physician has recommended her course of treatment begin with chemotherapy with the possibility of adding radiation.  Kelly is hopeful that she'll also be considered for a clinical trial in the near future. 

Many of you have graciously asked how you can offer support for Kelly.  Given the long battle ahead, Kelly will need to take extended time off from her job as a nurse practitioner.  Please consider contributing so that Kelly can prioritize her health and recovery without the additional stress of financial burdens.  All donations are greatly appreciated.
