Kelly Hilleke has never taken the easy line. From to competing across North America, to building a legendary internet personality, Kelly’s path has always been fueled by grit, creativity, and sheer love for the mountains.

Now, after years of training, sacrifice, and relentless dedication, Kelly has earned his spot on the 2026 Freeride World Tour. Making it to the Freeride World Tour is one of the highest honors in big mountain skiing, a dream that only a few elite athletes achieve. For Kelly, this means joining a select group of just 25 men worldwide who have qualified to compete in 6 events held across Europe and North America. Athletes earn points at each stop, with their best results counting toward overall standings. Only the highest-ranked riders continue to the final event, the legendary Xtreme Verbier in Switzerland. The athletes with the most cumulative points after this finale are crowned the Freeride World Champion.

Not only did Kelly make the FWT, but he was also one of 4 ski men invited to represent the United States in the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships, set for February 2026 in Andorra. Sixty seven of the world’s best riders will compete in four categories—Ski Men, Ski Women, Snowboard Men, and Snowboard Women—each getting one run to claim a world champion title under the official auspices of the International Ski Federation. This event will begin awarding FIS ranking points, a key step toward freeride’s inclusion in the Olympic Winter Games by 2030.
