Thank you everyone for being a part of this health journey with the Easters! For those of you who may not have heard, Kelly Easter is enduring an intense health battle that began in March of this year. For months, Kelly went through intense pain, constant bleeding, inability to sleep, mistreatment in the medical system, a lack of diagnosis, and after all he endured, he was diagnosed with a rare, “untreatable”, aggressive bladder tumor. A follow up appointment turned into an immediate need for surgery. Kelly was rushed into the ER, admitted that day, and was given only one option - a high risk surgery with no guarantee of life or successful removal of the tumor. In faith, he chose to trust God to be with him, and he miraculously came through alive and cancer free!

With the celebration for the first miracle, Kelly is still in need of a second. Although the majority of the tumor was successfully removed and labeled miraculously as “non-cancerous”, he was informed through the pathology report that the tumor is not benign and has potential to both spread and become cancerous with time. Due to the threatening nature of this tumor tissue, the medical industry has only offered one solution - an even more intense, robotic, high risk surgery to remove a large portion of Kelly’s bladder in hopes to halt it from growing and spreading. This surgery would not only present further life threatening implications but additional life long complications that could be nearly as threatening as the tumor. After receiving the news of a second surgery, Kelly felt in his spirit that he did not want to go through surgery again and that it was time to fight for another avenue of healing. Not healed at the root cause, the reality of this tissue could subject Kelly to constant removal of pieces within his body for the rest of his life. He has chosen to address it at the root and seek holistic healing at the source.

With the decision to choose holistic medicine comes a financial investment outside of what insurance covers. Kelly and Marie have found multiple options for care and practitioners in the holistic community, and are now looking to make this care both possible and sustainable for the duration of Kelly’s full and complete healing. The journey of healing can be unpredictable as new information arises in the process, however, they have an estimation of what this healing journey will cost.
