If you know anything about Kelly and Jorge Tamez, it’s that they live life to the fullest. You’d always find Kelly planning their next trip, buying tickets for their next country concert, cruising with the top off in their jeeps, or finding somewhere local with live music and good food. Unfortunately, all that changed in June of 2024 when Jorge went to the hospital for back pain and left with a diagnosis of Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma, a fast growing form of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. Over the past year Jorge underwent so many different rounds of treatments, chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. On June 2nd, 2025 they were informed that Jorge’s cancer was not responding to any form of treatment and they should focus on keeping him comfortable. At this time, he was given up to 3 weeks to live. Jorge’s wish was to pass peacefully at home and fortunately Kelly was able to make this wish come true. Jorge passed away peacefully on the morning of June 11th, 2025 with Kelly by his side. Besides the emotional turmoil this has brought to their family, it also brings financial setbacks. Jorge and Kelly owned their own business, and he had been off work for the last year. Kelly has not been able to work much, as she needed and wanted to be there to support her husband.
