Support Kelley's Lung Transplant Journey

Hi yall. This is Kelley. He’s our bonus dad. He was admitted on May 4, 2025 to Tampa General Hospital awaiting a double lung transplant. On June 10, 2025, he finally received his transplant. As many know our family lives about 3 hours on the other side of the state. Since his transplant, our mom usually stays in his hospital room 24/7 but occasionally needs a real bed and needs to check into a hotel room when others come to town to visit Kelley. Prior to the transplant, our mom would stay at home, go to work, take care of the house and be home with our minor sister during the week, then travel to Tampa on the weekends. My sisters and I would like to ask for help with expenses for our parents. Currently, Kelley remains in the hospital until he’s strong enough post-op to “go home”. “Home” will then be in Tampa for at least 30 days in order for him to receive his physical therapy, attend follow up appointments and classes associated with the new lifestyle he and our family will have to adjust to…

Both our parents will potentially be without income for an undetermined time and will still need to pay their monthly bills at home as well as living expenses in Tampa. They also have a mountain of additional medical expenses as you can imagine.
