Our Story

My name is Meredith, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible mother, Kelley Marie Chrisman.

She has always been the heart of our family — strong, kind, and full of life. But now, she’s facing the fight of her life.

After years of battling Interstitial lung disease (ILD), her lungs can no longer support her.

Doctors have told us that a double lung transplant is her only chance for survival and a return to the full, beautiful life she deserves.

The Challenge

While we’re beyond grateful that she has taken the steps in beginning the transplant process with Vanderbilt Transplant Center, the costs are overwhelming. Even with insurance, the financial burden is staggering — including:

Transplant surgery costs

Lifelong anti-rejection medications

Frequent travel to and from the transplant center

Post-surgery rehabilitation and care

Temporary housing near the hospital

We estimate that our family will require a substantial amount of assistance to cover these essential expenses.
