Kelley Szidik is one of the strongest people I know. She has been bravely fighting lung cancer, undergoing chemotherapy every few weeks in hopes of stopping the cancer’s growth. Despite the toll her treatments take, Kelley continues to work whenever she can, showing incredible resilience and determination. Throughout this journey, her husband John has been her steadfast supporter, always by her side.

Recently, their family faced another unimaginable challenge. Just two weeks ago, John began feeling unwell and, after some persuasion, saw a doctor. He was shocked to learn he was having a heart attack and needed immediate treatment. John was stabilized and transferred to the Cleveland Clinic, where he underwent a quadruple bypass surgery. After a few days of recovery, doctors determined he also needed a pacemaker. Thankfully, John is now home and recovering, but he will be unable to return to work for quite some time.

Kelley and John have always been generous and giving people, never asking for anything and working hard to build a comfortable life. Now, as they both face serious health challenges, they need our support more than ever.
