2025 has been an incredibly difficult year for me. In August, I lost my vision after epidural steroid injections caused major cataracts. For three months, I was unable to work and had to adjust to a new reality, all while trying to stay hopeful for recovery. Just as I was finally able to return to work in November, my dad was admitted to the hospital. Sadly, he passed away on December 2nd, adding another layer of heartbreak to an already challenging time.

This morning, while delivering early morning packages for Amazon as an independent contractor, I slipped on ice due to a customer's unsalted driveway. I broke my humerus bone near my shoulder, and now I have no idea how long I will be out of work. With no income coming in, I am struggling to cover my bills, daily expenses, and my daughter's college tuition. The uncertainty of when I can return to work has made things even more overwhelming.
