My daughter-in-law, Kela Geyer, was diagnosed on October 29, 2024, with a colloid cyst in her brain. She underwent emergency surgery on October 30th in Sioux Falls at Sanford Hospital to remove the cyst. The cyst was obstructing drainage of brain fluids, and the fluids began building up, causing brain swelling. This swelling caused the terrible, unmanageable headaches and earaches she had begun having. Unfortunately, Kela has a very high medical deductible with her insurance from her job. Kela has also been unable to work due to the horrible headaches she has been having, and we are unsure how long she will be out of work.
Kela has two sons to care for. Her husband, Paul, has been right by her side through this and has not worked since Kela has been in the hospital. We are asking for help for this young couple and family, to help relieve some of the financial stress this has caused for this family. Thank you.
