On December 31, 2025, my life changed in an instant. I went from being a perfectly healthy 58-year-old to facing organ failure and the daunting reality of needing a transplant. The suddenness of this decline has been overwhelming, emotionally, physically and financially. I never imagined I would be in this position, but now I am navigating a world of medical appointments, hospital stays, and the uncertainty of when I will receive a transplant. Thankfully I was approved for the transplant to occur.
The costs associated with this journey are staggering. Between co pays, medical deductibles, and the ongoing need for post-transplant care and anti-rejection medications, I am facing financial challenges I never anticipated.
I am truly grateful for any support you can offer—whether it’s a donation, sharing my story, or simply sending good thoughts and prayes my way. My hope is to have the transplant, recover, and return to work when I am able. The timeline for the transplant is still uncertain (it is based on scores involving how bad I am at that point).
Regardless, your kindness and generosity mean the world to me. Thank you for being part of my journey and for helping me through this difficult time. I am forever grateful.
