Hi, I’m Carol and I’m asking for your help. My son Keith is going through the unthinkable. He started having problems controlling his right leg about 9 months ago. He felt like someone else was in control. He then started having similar issues with his right arm. He went to see several doctors and did multiple tests to figure out what was going on. The doctors he went to believed it was nerve damage and treated him for that. When none of the treatment worked, they decided to do an MRI. The results of the MRI showed a tumor on the left side of his brain that was also moving into the right. The doctor did an invasive biopsy. They didn’t get a piece of the tumor the first time, so they went in to get a second larger piece.
While awaiting the results, he was released from the hospital in Colorado to come to Scottsbluff. On the way to Scottsbluff, Keith started screaming about how bad his head hurt. Minutes later he had a seizure. I stopped the car to flag down a policeman. He called an ambulance and Keith was taken to Regional West Medical Center. There he was taken to surgery to find that his brain was bleeding and they removed part of his skull to relieve the pressure.
My boy has a long road to recovery. Insurance will cover some of the cost of his care but will not help to pay his regular bills. I am not one to ask for help. But I could really use any assistance available. Please if you can find it in your heart to donate, it would be much appreciated.
