For nearly four decades, Keith — the heart behind Utah Valley’s beloved outdoor shop Out N Back — has helped thousands of people gear up for adventure. Whether it was fitting your child for their first hiking boots, tuning your skis before a powder day, or making sure your scout troop had the right gear for a weekend campout, Keith has always shown up for this community.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

️️ ⛰️ Keith’s Battle

Keith is currently undergoing intensive treatment for leukemia at Huntsman Cancer Institute, with the goal of eventually receiving a bone marrow transplant. His days are now filled with chemotherapy, hospital visits, and long drives to and from Salt Lake City — all while trying to keep his shop and spirit alive.

Despite everything, Keith still shows up to Out N Back when he can. He’s the kind of guy who makes you feel like family the minute you walk through the door — sassy, snarky, funny, and deeply caring. He’s always put others first, and now, he needs a village to help carry him through.
