Update:
We wanted to share a significant update with everyone.
First, some great news: Today, they did not do a liver biopsy because the growth on my liver has disappeared, and doctors confirmed that it was not cancer.
However, I have also been diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread locally to the thorax. It is considered locally spread, a Stage III diagnosis. The doctors believe there is a 20-30% chance of a cure with treatment, and we are committed to moving forward with the plan.
The recommended treatment involves radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, and we are aiming to start after November 15th. This will be a huge fight for us, but the doctors have given a prognosis of 6-12 months that has not changed, if the treatment does not work or if we don't proceed with it.
To prepare for treatment, we will be moved back to San Diego, living just about 10 minutes from the treatment facility.
Your support, love, and beautiful prayers have been our strength, and we can't do this without you.
We are so grateful for each of you.
Our Journey Back to San Diego for My Cancer Treatment.

My name is Keith Willis.
For most of my life, I have been fortunate with my health. However, my journey changed course in 2016 with a diagnosis of Degenerative Spine Disease, which led to multiple surgeries and a gradual decline in my health.
The most challenging chapter of my life began in August 2024, with a diagnosis of heart disease that required three stents. In November 2024, the situation escalated with a diagnosis of Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma Lung Cancer. Following a partial lung and lymph node removal in February 2025, we were overjoyed to hear that the lymph nodes were clear of cancer. We had hope that the Cancer was gone.
Unfortunately, in August 2025, the cancer returned aggressively, metastasizing to my thorax. Further imaging has shown new growths, so I am scheduled for more biopsies on October 31, 2025, to check if it has spread to my liver. My oncologist has given me a prognosis of 6 to 8 months without treatment. My current treatment plan is an intensive combination of chemotherapy and radiation, if the new growths are not more cancerous.

All my medical care, my friends, and my support network are in San Diego. Crucially, all my treatments are at UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest. My doctors have stressed the importance of being in San Diego for my ongoing and emergency care. Three years ago, we moved 65 miles away from San Diego to Murrieta due to housing costs, and we now face the urgent need to move back to the city.
Your support would make a profound difference. It will help cover the substantial costs of moving,
The funds that might be added to this GoFundMe account will also help me in the purchase of the healthy organic foods my doctors recommend to help me manage the intense side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. All other out-of-pocket expenses that most people know come along with my illness. Also, to help us with our daily living expenses, which have grown so much since all this began.

I am so happy we got to take a trip to England and Spain. (Thanks to all the frequent miles we built over the years) This was primarily because I did not know the future; I felt I needed to say my goodbyes to my family and friends while I still could.

I was denied life insurance many years ago due to health conditions. There is not even the ability to have a funeral should everything go south.

If you can help, your contribution would allow me to focus on my health during this critical time.
If you can or you are unable to help, please consider sharing my story with your family, friends, and maybe even your social media platforms.

Your support, in any form, means everything to me as we face this challenging journey.

The way I feel is not describable. I have an alien inside me eating me from the inside out.
