Sunday March 20, 2022, our friend, Keith Winsted, was hospitalized with an extremely low white blood cell count and was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). He was scheduled to begin chemotherapy on March 23, but contracted pneumonia followed by a series of cardiac arrests. The NYU Langone medical team have administered unparalleled critical care. Droves of family and friends from across the country have visited Keith at The Kimmel Center in New York City to express their love and support. These efforts have resulted in encouraging improvements in Keith’s health. As of April 8, they are reducing Keith's sedation and allowing the lungs to gradually work on their own. Keith is still fighting pneumonia, but all other organs appear to be functioning.

Our beloved, Keith Ryan Winsted, is a unique and amazing spirit who breathes an unmatched energy into the universe. He is family to countless people across the globe and has supported many of us through hardship with unconditional strength and love. Now, our precious friend, Keith, is battling for his life. Right now Keith needs US, our light, love, and unwavering support.

Keith still has a harrowing battle ahead of him; your positivity and support will help in his healing process. Currently Keith is on a medical leave from his job at BMCC, however, he is not being paid. Your donations will go toward general expenses like Keith’s rent and utilities, medical bills, therapy, and recovery. Management of the GFM account for Keith will be fully transparent.  Keith needs us all NOW more than ever.
