My name is Kaylee and over the past 2 years my father, Keith, has been suffering from acute lumbar radiculopathy, caused by a herniated disk in his back. After countless doctor’s appointments, hospital visits, and medical treatments, his condition has only become worse. At this point, his mobility is limited and his only option is a major back surgery. He is struggling to just achieve daily tasks, and being the owner of his own business, Millstone Auto in Pelham, he does not have access to medical leave or any financial assistance from work while he is waiting on surgery. This is leaving our family in a very difficult situation, as I am trying to take on our monthly bills by myself as a 20 year old. This includes heating, electric, groceries, and more. While I am working as much as possible, it’s simply not enough to get by. My mom has been pitching in as much as possible, but she also has her own bills and taking on full responsibility for two households is very difficult, especially in this economy. My father is a hard working man and seeing in this condition is extremely devastating, I know this is incredibly hard for the entire family. I know this is a very difficult time of the year for everyone, and any help would be greatly appreciated right now.
