I never thought I would find myself in this position. My name is Keir, and I am facing an emergency housing crisis that has left me with nowhere to turn.

For four years, I have been what any landlord would consider an ideal tenant. I have never missed a rent payment, never received a noise complaint, and have maintained a respectful relationship with all previous neighbors. My rental history speaks for itself - until now.

Despite this unblemished record, I am now facing imminent eviction due to coordinated harassment from both my current landlord and a hostile downstairs neighbor. What makes this situation particularly devastating is that there are no legitimate grounds for this eviction. No late payments, no lease violations, no documented complaints - nothing that would justify removing a tenant of four years. (a very introverted one at that)

The situation has escalated into what I can only describe as a systematic campaign to force me out of my home.

I am subjected to:

Harassing phone calls from my landlord ( yelling for a good 30min because I walk around my home during the day, or the floor squeaks too loudly at night - he continued to ramble while I was clearly shocked and crying )

Confrontational meetings were designed to intimidate and belittle me ( purposely texting me to call him or meet him to discuss the neighbors' "noise complaints" )

Constant noise harassment from the downstairs neighbor ( Me walking "too loudly" results in having shoes thrown at the ceiling and him reaching out to again, harass me )

Threats of immediate eviction without cause ( 4 times now, with no written form notice on my door, and no verbal warnings whatsoever, no actually proof of me doing ANYTHING wrong)

An environment so hostile that I cannot find peace in my own home

It has become clear that my landlord wants to convert these units into short-term rentals for traveling nurses, where he can charge significantly higher rates. I am simply an obstacle to his profit margins, and he is willing to destroy my life to achieve his financial goals.

This is not just about harassment - this is about survival. Based on how aggressively this situation has escalated, I believe I am merely days or weeks away from receiving formal eviction papers. When that happens, I will have approximately 30 days to secure new housing. Even if I manage to legally win a case, this is still not a safe environment for me to be in at this time.

However, I do not have the financial resources to move that quickly. Securing new housing requires thousands of dollars upfront - first month's rent, last month's rent, security deposits, and moving expenses. For someone living paycheck to paycheck, accumulating this amount in 30 days is impossible.

Without intervention, I am facing homelessness.

The stress has affected every aspect of my life - my work, my health, my mental well-being. As someone who is on the spectrum, this current unstable environment has caused me much distress- I won't go into personal detail, but the close friends that know, know.

I am also exploring legal options regarding the harassment and wrongful eviction, but my immediate priority must be securing safe housing for myself.
