Hi guys,

I’m writing this as I sit in the emergency room once again after another hospital visit for complications stemming from a year of treatments. This past year has been incredibly difficult, and I’ve come to terms with a few hard truths.

First, being strong doesn’t mean toughing it out alone when you need help—and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing for the last year. I’ve been trying to stay tough, but it’s only isolated me further and caused me more harm. Pretending to be fine and hiding what I’m going through has been exhausting.

Now, I want to be strong enough to admit that I’m at the lowest point in my life. I need help and support from my community now more than ever.

Over the past year, I’ve seen doctor after doctor for multiple health issues, including interstitial cystitis, gastritis/GERD, anxiety, depression, and asthma. 2024 was the hardest year of my life. I was prescribed countless medications, endured constant pain, and felt unheard and misunderstood by medical professionals. Despite my efforts, my fight for better health isn’t over.

My gastritis has become unmanageable, even with countless medications and significant dietary changes. My body constantly feels like it’s on fire. Because of my dietary restrictions, I have to cook every meal I eat myself, which creates daily stress. I’m constantly worrying about what to eat, when to eat, if it’ll be enough to eat, and how it will affect my body.

Additionally, my asthma has worsened significantly, especially after the LA fires. A spot was found on my lungs during an X-ray, which now requires close monitoring and medication I haven’t needed in years.

These medical challenges, along with the cost of appointments, medications, and follow-ups, have drained me financially. Taking time off work to manage my health has only made it harder for me to afford everything I need to get better.

My anxiety and stress are at an all-time high. I can’t do this alone anymore. I’m finally being honest with myself and others: I need help, and that’s why I’ve talked with my family about creating this fundraiser and to share my story on Instagram.

Life has so much beauty and joy, but I haven’t been able to experience it to the fullest in such a long time. I want to create, explore, and expand, but these illnesses have taken so much from me. Still, I’m hopeful. With your support, I believe I can continue to find the right doctors and resources to help me manage my health and move toward a better future. A healed one.

One day, I hope to educate others about what I’ve gone through. I wouldn’t wish this journey on anyone, and if my story can help even one person navigate these illnesses, I would be grateful to know I can provide that insight.

Right now, I’m in immense amount of pain and need as much help as I can get to heal. I know these are challenging times for everyone, but I believe in the power of community, and I know that support will come back to me.
