Please consider supporting Keelan's medical journey.
From June of 2023 until recently I did not have health insurance. Four weeks ago I was able to qualify for some Medical Assistance. Immediately after that I made an appointment with my physician which I knew for some time that I needed to do.
Since then I have had multiple blood draws, EKG, MRI, three ultra sounds, several x-rays and spinal/leg nerve testing. Based what is known at this time my physician has begun the fast-track towards disability until it is determined how or if my body positively responds to upcoming surgeries, PT, treatments etc.
At this juncture I have been diagnosed with Stage 2+/4 Stenosis (40% deduction in the diameter of the spinal canal), Neuropathy Stage 2+/5, partially reversible Neurogenic Atrophy in my left leg, Fibrosis Stage 2/4 (low high to high non-critical liver levels), Hyper Tension, Pre-Diabetic, Long Covid, and a separated right bicep tendon.
Donations will go towards extensive amounts of PT, prescriptions, epidural injections, spinal cord stimulation, laser treatments and nerve blocks. Furthermore I require Laminectomy surgery to remove the back of my vertebra and Lumbar Decompression surgery. The 12k plus bicep surgery is on the back burner.
This coming week I will have more nerve testing at TCO and further evaluations on the lower half to determine my leg capacity as well as cardio function tests.
Please note that for most of 2024 I chose not to work in order to be my Father's PCA during his terminal Hospice stay in my home. To compound matters I have only been employed 10 of the last 22 months and was terminated from my last two jobs during the past six months. For the past two months I have been trying to keep things glued together with part time remote freelance paralegal work.
Very simply stated, I have been significantly limited physically for several months specific to what my legs and back are capable of in a work environment. This presents a significant job search hurdle because a very high majority of my work experience the past 30+ years has been in the trades, as a baseball coach/trainer and/or Paraprofessional/Behavioral Support Specialist.
Rather than ask a friend(s) to be my point person I decided if I am going public to ask for help that I would stand front and center.
If you are unable to donate sharing this page would mean the world to my children and I. More specifically GOD IS GREAT and prayers are the best strength to give others during difficult times.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Respectfully,
Keelan, Ryan and Kayla Conley
