Support Keb Bazinet's Long Road to Recovery

Hi everyone,

My name is Jackie. I am creating this account to help my sister Nickie, my brother-in-law Keb, and my nephew Trace. As most of you may know, my brother in law Keb Bazinet has been in the hospital since November 3rd. He had a headache, was lethargic, and had weakness on his left side. They found out that he had a brain bleed that would require surgery. While he was in surgery, he had a lot of complications. He has been through respiratory failure, a seizure, and strokes.

It has been an absolute physical and emotional roller-coaster with devastating twists and turns.

Thankfully, after 16 days of Keb being in a sedation, he is awake, alert, and aware.

His responses are delayed, but his humor isn't.

He is on a feeding PEG, respiratory support, and has a tracheotomy to assist him breathing.

Once cleared by the ICU hospital team, he will continue his care at a local rehabilitation center for 8 weeks or more before coming home.

This is going to be a long road to recovery.

The most important thing that my sister Nickie and my nephew Trace need is time with Keb. We never know what each day is going to bring, and my sister being at the hospital is a must.
