In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 5, 2026, in pierce idaho, our sweet Kc's life changed forever at only 22 years old.
While having a campire with friends, a devastating accident occurred when gasoline was thrown onto the campfire, causing an explosion. 7 people were involved, suffering life-threatening injuries.
She was immediately Life Flighted to the Seattle Burn Center, where she is now fighting for her life on life support. Doctors said she will survive.
Kc has sustained burns to approximately 80% of her body, including her face, arms, and legs. She has an incredibly long and not only painful but mentally journey ahead. She will undergo multiple surgeries, skin grafts, and lots of rehabilitation. Doctors are also concerned that she may lose some of her fingers due to the severity of her injuries.
More than anything, Kc is a loving mother to her beautiful 3½-year-old daughter, Novanni, who now faces the heartbreaking reality of watching her mom endure this unimaginable battle. Kc is a caregiver to the elderly & is in nursing school at NIC. She loves to help others.
Kc's mom will be staying near the Seattle Burn Center for at least the next month so she can be by her daughter's side every step of the way. The financial burden of hotel stays, travel, meals, medical expenses, and everyday living costs is overwhelming.
