Kanyenga (KC) Zimba, born in Livingstone- Home of the Mosi oa Tunya [Victoria Falls], Zambia on June 24th, 1968- passed on October 10th, 2025, was a beloved, cherished, and key component of each and every one of our lives. With such a massive family, his reach made sure to hit each and every single one of us, and anyone else that met him face to face was immediately given nothing but love and respect.

During his youth (and old age :]), Kanyenga was an avid rugby player and threw himself in with as many clubs and teams as his heart could carry, and held all of the amazing friends he made each step of the way, long into his life and across the world when he settled down in Aurora, CO. Surrounded by his chosen and given families, as much as he wanted to be to himself and have his space, KC couldn't truly ever have been alone (not if we could have a say in it).

He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, never leaving any opportunity for any one of us to question or deny it in any sense. There are no words that encompass the love he filled us all with, and the vast space he also leaves behind.

The goal of this fundraiser is to make sure after the long 17 year battle with brain cancer- 17 years of fighting to stay with his family, his wishes of being with his mother, father, and brother are fulfilled, to rest with the ones he loved in Lusaka, Zambia.
