I am organizing this fundraiser for my mother, Kazzie Ference, who was killed this past weekend in a senseless act of domestic violence. Kazzie was a mother and grandmother who was deeply loved. She mattered, and her life should not have ended this way. Our family is trying to process this devastating loss while also facing the painful reality of laying her to rest and caring for the children she leaves behind.

Kazzie’s eight children are now facing life without their mother. Six of them are still underage, and one has special needs. Right now, our family is doing everything possible to create some stability for them in the middle of this heartbreak. They will carry this loss long after the funeral is over, and the need for support will not end with the services.

Donations will help cover funeral and burial expenses, other costs related to Kazzie’s passing, and her children’s immediate and ongoing needs, including housing, food, clothing, and other essentials. Ongoing support, including recurring donations, can help provide steadier care for the children in the weeks and months ahead, especially as our family works to meet everyday needs for the younger children and the child who needs additional care.
