Hello everyone,
My name is Kayon Dale, and I’m from the Black River area in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.
Just a few days ago, our community was struck by a devastating hurricane that changed our lives completely. My home is now roofless, and most of my neighbors are homeless. The winds tore through everything we worked so hard to build — leaving behind only walls, debris, and tears.
We have no electricity, no water, and no internet, and for days we’ve been trying to survive on what little we have left. The roads are blocked, many families have lost everything, and the sound of children crying at night still echoes in my heart.
As a nurse, I’ve seen pain before — but nothing prepares you for seeing your own community in this state. Even the hospital I work with is struggling, yet we’re doing our best to care for others despite our own losses.
I thank God that our lives were spared, and I believe He’ll help us rebuild. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m reaching out — to ask for your help in rebuilding my home and helping my community recover.
Funds will go toward:
• Roofing materials and repairs
• Food, water, and basic supplies
• Supporting elderly and displaced families in our area
No amount is too small — every dollar, every share, every prayer helps bring hope back to our little town.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us in this time of need. May God bless you all abundantly.
With love and gratitude,
Kayon Dale
