Support Kaylynne and her Baby Madelyn
Donation protected
Our niece and her four-month-old baby were in a catastrophic car accident on Thursday, February 22, 2024. A tanker truck rear-ended their car at high speed as they were waiting to turn into their driveway in Leduc, AB.
Both Kaylynne (29 yrs) and Maddy (4 mths) were seriously injured and are currently being cared for in ICUs in Edmonton hospitals. Kaylynne received a life altering spinal cord injury, along with rib fractures and some internal organ damage. Maddy has a serious brain injury and is being held in an induced coma. Both have already undergone surgeries.
As their Aunties, we are organizing this campaign to help Kaylynne’s family. While hospital stays in Canada are publicly funded, there are many other expenses that go along with an inpatient stay and, what will be a very long rehabilitation process.
Lost income for Kaylynne’s husband Eric is also a major concern at this immediate time. As costs for childcare for their other three young children (ages 3, 6 and 10 years) are already mounting, the immediate family are faced with costs for daily driving to and from Leduc to the Edmonton hospitals, parking fees, meals while on the run, and babysitters.
Every little bit helps. Join us in caring for Kaylynne’s family in this practical way. We are grateful for your generosity. Thank you.
