Kaylin's Passing: March 26, 2026
With profound sadness, we share that Kaylin passed away early Thursday morning after a long and courageous fight. She spent 82 of the 89 days of her marriage to William in the hospital, battling sepsis, infections, pneumonia, and complications related to her surgery and illness. She leaves behind her husband, William, children- Tripp and Skylee, many friends, and the students she loved so deeply.

The family needs continued support more than ever. Donations will help cover the overwhelming medical expenses from Kaylin’s long hospitalization, cremation and memorial costs, and the day-to-day expenses of maintaining a home and caring for the family during this devastating time. We are continuing this fundraiser to help her family through this loss.

Kaylin's Celebratrion of Life will be held Wednesday April 8th at North Brevard Funeral Home. Visitation hours with the family will be from 4p-6p with the celebration of life sermon following. All are welcomed.

Update 1/7/26:
Kaylin will be transferred to Orlando to undergo a critical procedure that is an important step in her care. While she remains medically sedated, William and the kids will be traveling back and forth to be by her side. Your continued prayers, love, and support mean more than words can express as the family navigates the days ahead.

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a humble request on behalf of my family. Last week, my cousin William married Kaylin. I’m Kaylin’s cousin by marriage, and now she is officially family—one we love deeply and are fighting for fiercely.

Many of you already know that Kaylin has been facing extremely serious health complications. She is a teacher, and she truly loves what she does—she’s the kind of person who pours her heart into her students and her classroom. But since October, Kaylin’s health has made it impossible for her to work, and the last few months have been a relentless fight to simply survive.

Kaylin was determined to make it to her wedding in December. That determination doesn’t even begin to capture what she pushed through: two hospital admissions, countless nights in the ICU, ongoing dialysis, and a major surgery. Against the odds and through unbelievable hardship, Kaylin did what she set her heart on—she walked down the aisle and married the love of her life.

We all thought that moment might be the turning point. Instead, just one week after the wedding, Kaylin was admitted to the hospital again and underwent lifesaving surgery. She is currently in the ICU, fighting for her life.

This is the kind of situation that takes everything from a family—emotionally, physically, and financially. With Kaylin unable to work, William taking time away from his job to be at her side, and medical expenses mounting quickly, they need help. On top of the overwhelming hospital costs, there are still everyday adult-life expenses that don’t pause for emergencies: housing, utilities, transportation, meals, and the many unexpected costs that come with extended hospital stays.

If you’re reading this, I’m asking you—family, friends, coworkers, and anyone who has ever been moved by someone’s fight—please consider supporting Kaylin and William. Any amount helps. If you’re not able to give financially, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful and helps more than you may realize.

Most of all, please keep Kaylin in your thoughts and prayers. She is fighting with everything she has, and William is standing by her with the kind of love that is steady, devoted, and unbreakable. They need a community around them right now, and we are grateful for every ounce of support.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping carry this burden with us.
