My Story:

Just a few years ago, I was living my dream. I had a job I was passionate about and a place I could call home. But life took a sudden and cruel turn. I lost my dream job, and with it, my housing. The stress and despair of losing everything I had worked so hard for became overwhelming, and I found myself spiraling into the dark world of addiction.

In my darkest moments, I woke up in the ICU after suffering two massive seizures. I was rushed to the hospital, and it was a terrifying wake-up call. My body and spirit were broken, but even after that harrowing experience, I fell back into the clutches of substance abuse.

However, amidst the chaos and despair, a spark of determination ignited within me. I realized that I couldn't continue down this path of self-destruction. I needed to reclaim my life, not just for myself but for everyone who believes in me. I made the courageous decision to check myself into detox and rehab, and I am committed to the long and difficult journey of recovery.

Why I Need Your Help:

Rebuilding a life after such profound loss and struggle is not something I can do alone. I am seeking your support to help cover the costs of my treatment, ongoing therapy, and basic living expenses as I work to get back on my feet.

Medical Bills: Covering the significant medical expenses from two individual week-long stays at the hospital, including my time in the ICU after the seizures. These bills amount to approximately $20,000.

Update: 23rd July

I wanted to take a moment to provide an update on my journey and to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible support I’ve received so far.

As of today, I am proud to share that I have been completely sober since July 3rd. This milestone is incredibly meaningful to me and represents the beginning of a new chapter in my life. To support my ongoing recovery, I have voluntarily enrolled in a partial hospitalization program. This program is providing me with the structured support and intensive therapy I need to stay on the path to healing.

The journey has been challenging, but your generosity and kindness have given me the strength and hope to keep moving forward.
