Support Kayleigh’s Journey: A Fight Against Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We’re reaching out to share the story of our beloved Kayleigh, who has been recently diagnosed with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. Kayleigh has always been the strong, loving mother to three beautiful children—ages 8, 6, and 3—and the pillar of strength for her family. However, her journey over the next few months will require all of us to come together to support her and her family during this challenging time.

Kayleigh has already undergone one surgery to biopsy the tumor, and while that operation was successful, her journey is far from over. She will soon undergo a second surgery to remove the tumor, and after that, a third surgery may be necessary, depending on the results of a biopsy. Each of these surgeries will require her to take a minimum of 2 weeks off work for recovery, meaning that she will be out of work for at least a month.

During this time, Kayleigh will be recovering with limited mobility, as the surgery site will have drain tubes in place to help with healing. The physical and emotional strain on Kayleigh is immense, but the added burden of knowing that Jordan—her hardworking partner—will need to balance long work hours with caring for their three young children makes this situation even more challenging.

That’s why we’re reaching out to you today. As Kayleigh focuses on her health and recovery, we’re asking for your support. The medical bills, lost wages, and costs associated with care and recovery are overwhelming. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and help Kayleigh and her family get through this difficult time.
