Hi everyone,

I’m writing this on behalf of a very special child and a family that means so much to us.

There are moments in life that stop everything — and this is one of them.

Just a few days ago, 10-year-old Kayleen Byun’s world turned upside down. She was just a kid — laughing, playing, counting down the days to her 11th birthday on April 4th — when without any warning, came a diagnosis no child should ever have to hear: leukemia. No time to prepare. No chance to brace herself. In an instant, everything changed.

Kayleen is the kind of child you never forget — always bursting with energy, always noticing others, always caring. Her smile is unforgettable, the kind that brings comfort even on someone’s hardest day.

Last summer, Kayleen traveled to a small village in Mexico to care for children in need. When she came home, she said it was the most meaningful experience of her life — and she was already dreaming of going back someday to continue that work.

Think about that for a moment: a child who found her greatest joy not in what she received, but in what she gave. That is who Kayleen is.

And now, this same child — who has given so much love to others — faces the fight of her life from a hospital bed. Kayleen has just begun an 8-month chemotherapy journey, a path filled with pain, fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty. Every day will be hard. But chemotherapy gives her the chance to fight, to heal, and to one day return to the bright, joyful life she loves — and to the people she inspires.

No child should have to go through this. No parent should have to watch their child suffer this way. But this is their reality now.

Her family is doing everything they can to stay strong — to show up, to hold on, to keep going. But the weight is overwhelming. Medical bills, lost time from work, and the daily cost of simply getting through are adding up fast.

So today, we are asking for your help.

If Kayleen’s story has touched your heart, please consider standing with her. No amount is too small — truly. And if you’re unable to donate, please share this. Sometimes hope finds people in ways we never expect.

Let’s surround Kayleen with the love she has always given so freely. Let’s help carry this family through the days they cannot carry alone. Let’s fight alongside them.

And as April 4th approaches, we ask for one more thing — please keep Kayleen in your heart and in your prayers. She may be spending her 11th birthday in a hospital room, but let’s make sure she feels the warmth, the love, and the celebration she so deserves. May every prayer, every kind thought, and every well-wish reach her and remind her that she is not alone — that the whole world is cheering her on.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being part of Kayleen’s story.

(Note: All donations will be securely and directly deposited into Kayleen’s family’s bank account to ensure they receive immediate and full support.)
