Support Kayla's Fight for Life

My name is Chantell. My daughter’s best friend Kayla is fighting for her life. On June 13,2024 we had to rush her to the hospital thinking that she had a seizure or a heat stroke. We were not prepared for what was about to happen. When we got to the hospital we were treated awful by some of the medical staff. Her mother BJ and I ran back to her room and found her covered in her own vomit so we tried to clean her up. During that 3 security guards come in there telling us to leave while we were helping Kayla and had to roll her on her side to keep her from aspirating on her vomit. I screamed for help and finally got 3 nurses, who were kind, to come help her. Then I left escorted by the security guards. 30 minutes later a doctor and nurse came out to talk to us telling us that she had taken a seizure and aspirated on her vomit that got into her lungs. They had to incubate her. Then a neurosurgeon came in and told her parents that Kayla’s vessel in her brain had intertwined and busted causing a brain bleed which needed medical attention asap. They said that they would have to transport her to Roanoke Va. They had to do emergency medical surgery and drill a place into her head to release the bleeding. She hasn’t graduated from school yet. She is the sweetest girl ever. Her parents live 3 hours away from where they flew her out to. Please if anything pray that she comes out of this. It’s pretty serious. Thank you and God bless.
