Support Kayla's Academic and Campus Success

I need a little help. Please share this with everyone. My name is Kayla Ward, and I am a dedicated junior at Towson University, majoring in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Anthropology and a minor in Business Administration. I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of receiving additional merit-based scholarships to finish my time at Towson, as I am no longer eligible for FAFSA but still face financial difficulties that impact my ability to afford my education. I will be losing almost $5,000 from my Pell grant, $3,000 from MHEC, and possibly another $3,000 from the CollegeBound Foundation.
Towson has always been my dream school. After receiving 15 college acceptances, I wholeheartedly chose Towson because of its academic excellence, strong sense of community, and the opportunities it offers students to grow both personally and professionally. Since enrolling, I have remained deeply committed to my academics and campus involvement. I have maintained a 3.917 cumulative GPA, consistently making the Dean’s List every semester, and excelling in courses such as Cultural Anthropology (A), Forensic Crime Analysis (A), and Ethnographic Field Methods (A), among others. I am also proud to share that I am on track to graduate a full year early, a reflection of my dedication, time management, and determination to succeed.
Beyond my academics, I am actively involved in the Towson community. I work as a Writing Fellow at the Writing Center, assisting students with their academic writing and critical thinking skills. Additionally, I served as the Social Media Manager for the Anthropology Club (that I, unfortunately, had to drop because of this situation and the possibility I will need to get another job), and I am a committed member of both the Forensic Science Student Organization and the Criminal Justice Student Association. My engagement on campus reflects my passion for learning, leadership, and contributing to the university’s vibrant academic environment.
Despite my dedication to my studies and involvement, financial challenges have made it increasingly difficult to continue my education at Towson, or in college at all. I am determined to graduate and make the most of the incredible opportunities here, but I need additional financial support to do so. I would be incredibly grateful if any of you could review my eligibility for any additional merit-based scholarships or other funding opportunities that could help me stay on track toward completing my degree.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Towson means so much to me, and I truly hope to continue thriving here with your support. Please let me know if there are any next steps I should take or any further information I can provide.
