Hello everyone,

My name is Kaylah Smythe from New Market, St Elizabeth and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. My parents had lost their home and nearly everything they owned when Hurricane Melissa tore through our community. The storm destroyed our house, personal belongings, and left them displaced with nowhere to return to.

We are grateful to be alive, but now we’re faced with the difficult task of starting over — finding a place to live, replacing essentials like clothing and furniture, and covering daily needs such as food and transportation.
